Fresh water pearls, aqua marine and sterling silver

Coin-shaped cultured pearls are created on a disc nucleus of mother of pearl that the host mollusk coats with layer upon layer of nacre to protect itself from the irritant. Eventually a unique, lustrous flat pearl is formed. I enhance the shine and depth of these pearls with sterling silver. Some pieces combine several sizes of the coin pearl; others are mixed with stones, such as aqua marine, that emphasize the delicate look of the pearl.
